CCNF Youth This section of our web site is dedicated to our youth. The church has four primary program areas dedicated to our youth: Sunday School, Middle School Youth Group (MSYG), and Senior High Youth Group (SHYG). Sunday School The Sunday School of the Congregational Church of New Fairfield is dedicated to teaching our youth about God and Christ. Children ages three to Kindergarten meet each week of the church school year and learn some favorite Bible stories and about special times during the church year. They practice prayer and explore what it means to be one of God's children. Children in grades 1 - 6 follow a weekly workshop schedule that gives them a fun way to learn about the Bible. The workshop materials involve a variety of activities depending on the interests of the leader. In general, workshops include cooking, puppets, art, drama, video, missions, games, science, and story telling.
Middle School Youth Group (MSYG) The Middle School Youth Group (MSYG) is for youth in grades 6-8. Current events are in the youth calendar on the home page. Below are some pictures of recent activities.
Senior High Youth Group (SHYG) The Senior High Youth Group (SHYG) is for youth in grades 9-12. Current events are in the youth calendar on the home page. Members of this group participate in the SHYG Mission Trip each summer to help low income families. Below are some pictures of recent activities.
In the fall of 2010, a production of "Nursery Crimes" was put on for the benefit of the youth group. Thank you to the fantastic cast for giving us a great show to kick off our fundraising for the Summer Mission Trip!
