A New Organ

It had been roughly twenty years since the church purchased a new organ. In that time, our organ had aged rather poorly. Having been struck once by lightening in the mid-1980s did not help it stay in tip-top shape. It also, unfortunately, become rather unpredictable making it a challenge for any individual playing it. It is for these reasons that the Music Committee has begun the process of purchasing a new organ for the church in 2003. The organ was installed in December of 2003 and we reimbursed the funds used to pay off the organ in March of 2005!

Rodgers T-807 Organ

Rodgers Trillium 807 OrganThe organ selected as a replacement by the Music Committee is a Rodgers Trillium 807 along with an eight channel sound system and a PR-300S sequencer/sound module. Rodgers' Professional Grade Trillium™ 807 Organ offers a true pipe organ quality console and cutting-edge, stereophonic sampled, imaged stereophonic pipe organ sound. With 69 total speaking stops available, the Trillium 807 is considered the highest value, best choice for many churches seeking a two manual instrument. For more information about this specific organ, please refer to http://www.rodgersinstruments.com/t807_specs.html.

The Music Committee worked with Marshall Ogletree Associates, Inc. on this purchase who both installed the new organ and removed the old organ.

As of March 20, 2005, the amount remaining to be raised to pay off the organ is $0.00.

Thanks to all who made this project so successful that we paid the organ off in a year and a half!
